There is nothing more infuriating that buying a product based on advertising, only to realize that the actual product bears not even a passing resemblance to what was advertised. Fast food, movies- it always ends in the same bitter, bitter disappointment.

Black Ops Rakes In Over $650 Million, Scores Headshot On Previous Record

A little over a year ago, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was releasing, generating over $550 million in salesĀ  in five days with 4.7 million copies sold. That was a record, not only for video games, but for entertainment franchises period: No movie, album, or book has ever made that much money in as short a span. It’s only fitting that the next game in the CoD series would be the one to smash that record.

New Study Shows Video Gamers Are More Efficient Decision Makers

Take that, mom & dad. Video games are good for you! At least, according to a new study released by Current Biology says they are. The study, titled “Improved Probabilistic Inference as a General Learning Mechanism with Action Video Games” asserts that action video games help gamers became increasingly efficient at making quick decisions with no loss in precision or accuracy.

Happy Birthday, Virtual Boy!

With the Sidekick meeting its demise last month, and the Motorola Droid and Google Wave leaving the mortal plane just a few days ago, it seems fitting to honor a long gone friend. Today we honor the Nintendo Virtual Boy, which was released fifteen years ago today, on August 14, 1995.
